My Reflection

We know that the term "language" is the general term that encompasses all systems of human communication, but we also know that within the term language there are a number of dialects that vary according to a specific geographic region and the social environment in which people it develops.Languages change continually but these changes occur gradually  and spread slowly to others, and often over the life spans of several generations of speakers.

This task pemitted me understanding that  dialects is chiefly distinguished from other dialects and of the same language by features of linguistic structure like the grammar ( morphology and syntax) vocabulary and pronunciation. American English is influenced by many cultures of Spanish-speakers, African, Asian etc ,and as a result of this we have many dialects in this language, but American English has a Standard American English (SAE) is a dialect of English that many  Americans nearly speak; divergences from this “norm” are labeled “Philadelphia dialect,” “Chicago dialect,” “African American English,” and so on.

Working in this topic I can understand the term "Dialect" that is  language used by a group of speakers in a country. Dialects develop because languages change, and the changes that occur in one group or area may differ from those that occur in another.
